Our club is an active part of the global network of 1.2 million Rotarians seeking to make a difference in our communities. We support local and international charities and focus on issues such as fighting disease, promoting peace, supporting education and women, and protecting the environment.
As part of the latter commitment, the Rotary Club of Henley-on-Thames is signed up to the End Plastic Soup campaign that seeks to rid rivers and seas of plastic waste.
You can also see the club's page on the Rotary national website here. Or catch up with our activities on Facebook here.

As well as helping in the community, raising money for charities and taking action to raise awareness of our focus area we also make sure we enjoy ourselves in the process. We have plenty of social events where parters and guests are welcome. These include dinners with speakers, theatre trips and outings to interesting places. Come along and meet us to find out more.
We have revamped our meetings as the community emerges from the pandemic. We now meet twice a month on Tuesdays for dinner (sometimes with a guest speaker) and have a coffee meeting once a month of a Saturday to discuss environmental awareness actions, particularly those related to End Plastic Soup. Most recently, for example, the club has been involved in a river cleanup between Sonning and Shiplake.
In addition, once a month we host a free public webinar on one of our focus issues. So far, these have included biodiversity, electric cars, diplomacy in difficult places, and local health during COVID-19.
