Interesting Speakers

Open to the public

Who are we?

We are friendly club of about 20 members, who enjoy meeting on a regular basis and supporting our local community. Our members are men and women from all sorts of backgrounds sharing a common wish to give something back by helping others.

Join the fun

As well as helping in the community and raising money for charities we also  make sure we enjoy ourselves in the process. We have plenty of social events where parters and guests are welcome.  These include dinners with speakers, theatre trips and outings to interesting places. Come along and meet us to find out more.

We normally meet once a month (18.30  on the 3rd Tuesday) where we often have a speaker. We also hold social meetings at the same time on the  first Tuesday of the month and have  lunchtime get-togethers on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday. Right now during the Covid-19 restrictions we have transferred our metings to Zoom and are inviting the public to hear speakers where they are of general interest.

Our members are often busy people, so there is no requirement to attend a minimum number of meetings. It's helpful if you can turn up to some, but it's more important that you can help with fundraising events.

Rotary Club of

Henley-on-Thames

Welcome to our website

We hope this site gives you a flavour of our club which is part of the global network of more than 1.2 million Rotarians making a difference to their communities.

We support many local charities in the Henley area and contribute to international causes such as disaster relief.

You can also see the club's page on the Rotary national website  here.  Or catch up with our activities on Facebook here.

This year we've had to cancel our jazz concert beacuse of the coroavirus crisis.

Ken Fitt, 92, who organises the concert, has been using his talents to rewrite the words to "We'll Meet Again" and make them appropriate to the current situation.

We shared the video on our JustGiving page and raised £4,000 for Nomad, to be used to support families and individuals in Henley suffering during the Coronavirus crisis.

Tim Prior of Nomad gave a talk about the food parcel support they have been providing.

A video of the talk is below.

Here are some more photos us enjoying ourselves before the lockdown....

We get regular coverage of our activities in the Henley Standard.

Here are links to some of the more recent items.

Join in the fun and support your local community at the same time.
